How to reach Kachighati
By Bus/ taxi
From Shimla’s new ISBT, the old bus stop, and the Mall Road Lift, Kachighati enjoys excellent bus service. From Shimla’s old bus terminal, buses run at a frequency of one every minute. Chandigarh is 107 kilometres and Delhi is 400 km distant from Kachighati. Typically, it takes 3 to 4 hours to get from Chandigarh to Kachighati. There are several hotels and restaurants along the route.
By Train
To go to Kachighati by train, you must make it to the Shimla train station. The Kalka to Shimla railway line terminates at Shimla Railway Station. Hire a cab to Kachighati after you arrive at the Shimla train station. You can also board a bus at the former bus stop as an alternative. The best option is to rent a cab at the union outside Shimla’s train station.
